19 years ago, a knowledgeable old man was dying.

On his deathbed, the student asked if there was anything left.

He thought for a moment, and only left a last word: “China will shine in the future, pay attention to the I-Ching.”

This old man is Mr. Feng Youlan, a famous philosopher.

The ancients said that the “I-Ching” is broad and profound because it covers everything.

Yu Shinan said: “If you don’t know Yi, you can’t be a general.”

For ordinary people, “I-Ching” is a classic book of self-cultivation.

Among them, the eight laws are the most famous sayings and principles for making a man a tool.

If you understand these words, your life will be more and more blessed.

.

Humiliated by others, unmoved by color

There is an old saying: “Being humiliated by others, remaining indifferent to color, the Tao is near.”

Mr. Nan Huaijin said that the key to how much blessing a person can bear lies in how much humiliation he can bear.

If someone insults you, you don’t change your face. Not only is it not cowardly, but it is a big-hearted person. A person with a big-hearted heart will have his own world in life.

Many people can’t stand disrespectful words, and immediately turn their faces when they are slightly displeased, burning their own future with anger.

There is such a story in “Hundred Metaphors”.

A turtle was dying of thirst.

It happened that there was a wild goose flying overhead, so he asked, “Wild goose, can you take me to a pond with water?”

Seeing that the tortoise was pitiful, the wild goose agreed.

The wild goose held a branch in its mouth, let the tortoise hold it, and warned repeatedly before leaving: “I will fly to the sky in a while, no matter what happens, I can’t open my mouth.”

The tortoise nodded in agreement, and the geese flew south with the tortoise.

When flying over a village pond, the village boy saw the tortoise in the sky and laughed.

“Look, that stupid turtle was captured by wild geese.”

The tortoise felt insulted and was furious: “I went to find water with them, I didn’t get caught!”

Before he could finish speaking, he fell from the air and was smashed to pieces.

The so-called anger arises in one thought, and the forest of meritorious deeds is burned.

Many times in life, seeing that you are about to succeed, you often fall short because you can’t bear a few words.

There is a saying in “Moaning Language·Ying Wu”: “Don’t be shaken by outsiders, don’t use things to move, and then you can take charge of the great affairs of the world.”

Virtue carries things, how can a person who can’t even bear the burden of words be able to carry great blessings.

Most of the time, the insult you feel is actually not worth caring about.

If nothing happened, that is the best revenge.

.

Do not remember the kindness of others

“Warring States Policy · Wei Policy” has a saying: “I have virtues for others, so I must not forget it.”

When a person does something that is kind to others, he cannot always take it to heart.

There was a drought in Qi State one year, and many people could not eat.

A man named Qian Ao had food prepared by the roadside for the hungry passers-by to eat.

Afterwards, fewer and fewer people ate it, and instead of saying it was good, those who ate it blamed him instead.

On this day, Qian Ao saw a hungry man pass by with his face covered by his sleeve and his eyes dazed.

He held the food in his left hand and stopped him.

“Hey! Come and eat!”

The hungry man looked up at him and said, “It is because I don’t want to eat the food you gave me that I covered my face and walked away.”

It turned out that in order to publicize his good deeds, Qian Ao swaggered around, saying that he gave free food to others.

As a result, those who received charity felt that their dignity was lost and they had no place to be ashamed. They would rather starve to death than accept his favor.

Hua Luogeng said: “I help others, don’t take it to heart.”

The true kindness is shown from the bottom of the heart, without being ostentatious or showing off.

There is a good saying: “It is more blessed to give than to receive.”

Grace is not about treating good deeds as a transaction, let alone exchanging kindness for goodness.

If you keep it in mind every time, it becomes a burden.

.

Observe people’s mistakes, don’t show them to the public

As the old saying goes, the width of the heart is an inch, and the width of the road is ten feet.

A broad-minded person, even if he knows the faults of others, will not spread them around.

This is a kind of tolerance, but also a kind of virtue.

A person with good morals has planted a field of fortune for himself.

According to legend, King Zhuang of Chu once won a battle and had a feast for all his ministers, and made a concubine surnamed Xu dance for fun.

Suddenly a gust of wind blew by and extinguished the candles.

At this time, a general was too drunk and took the opportunity to pull Xu Ji’s hand. During the tug, Xu Ji tore off the tassel from the man’s hat.

Xu Ji went back to the king of Chuzhuang to complain, and the king of Chuzhuang asked everyone to take off their hats and continue to drink freely.

Seven years later, when King Zhuang of Chu defeated Zheng and was in danger, a general led his men to open the way, turning defeat into victory.

After the war, King Zhuang of Chu rewarded him for his meritorious service, but this general refused to reward him.

He said that he was the one who molested Xu Ji seven years ago, and he killed the enemy this time to atone for his sin.

Unexpectedly, a thought of tolerance back then would bring him a powerful general to save the country from danger.

Master Han Shan once said in “The Song of Awakening the World”: “Stop ignoring your own heart, and don’t publicize the faults of others.”

Hearing other people’s right and wrong, keeping silent, is for self-cultivation, and can reduce disasters;

Observe others more than yourself, forgive and tolerate others, because you can tolerate, you will be blessed.

And those who say “Straightforward personality, say what you have to say” are mostly either outspoken or bad-hearted.

.

Aware of people’s deceit, don’t be angry at words

Sensing the cunning of others, do not show your anger with words.

Only by using your brain more, talking less, and thinking calmly, can you avoid disaster.

There is a saying in “University”: “After being quiet, you can be at peace, after being at ease, you can worry, and after worrying, you can gain.”

The more urgent the matter, the more calm you should be. When things happen, don’t talk too fast, stay sober, and don’t mess up.

Jin Yong wrote in “Yi Tian Tu Long Ji”: “He is strong and he is strong, and the breeze blows the hills.”

The more irritated a person is, the easier it is to fall into the trap of the other.

Zeng Guofan was young and offended many people because he was upset and irritable.

Later, his mentor, Mr. Tang Jian, gave him a word-jing.

Since then, Zeng Guofan has to meditate for a while whenever he encounters a problem, and he has gained many experiences and methods in dealing with people, studying and pursuing politics.

.

Be grateful, keep in mind

There is an ancient Greek proverb: “An ungrateful man cannot be saved when he falls into trouble.”

I have seen such a story before.

On the south side of Jishui, a merchant fell into the water while crossing the river.

The businessman asked for help: “I am a wealthy businessman from Jishui. If anyone saves me, I will give one hundred taels of gold.”

A fisherman passed by and rescued him ashore, but the merchant only gave him ten taels of gold.

The fisherman said: “You said one hundred taels of gold, but now you only give ten taels?”

The businessman completely forgot the kindness of the fisherman for saving him, and instead counted the money.

“How much do you earn a day as a fisherman? Isn’t ten taels of gold enough?”

After a while, the merchant took a boat down Luliang Lake, but the boat hit a rock and sank, falling into the water again.

The fisherman saw it but walked away without looking back.

Many people are always used to thinking about what they have lost, but they are seldom happy for what they already have.

Some people forget the person who helped him after the success; some people leave the person who accompanied him after success.

Li Bai once wrote in his poem: “I am grateful for the favor of my son and mother, and I am ashamed that I am not a talent of Han.”

When Han Xin was down and out and hungry, a floating mother by the river gave him food. Many years later, Han Xin gave him a thousand pieces of gold.

To be a human being, you must know kindness and remember the goodness of others, so that the road of life will get better and better.

The “Tan Sutra” says: “All fields of blessings are inseparable from the land of happiness.”

Heart, from a person’s words and deeds, contains a person’s blessing.

People live a lifetime, good fortune and misfortune depend on each other.

Rather than envying the good fortune of others, it is better to think about whether you can afford it.

Do the things right now, treat the people in front of you kindly, and your Fukuda will blossom into a sea of flowers one day.
